We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the financial operations of our client's commercial real estate firm in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the company's accounting processes, supervising a dedicated team, and delivering insightful financial reporting to support strategic decision-making. Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the accounting department, providing mentorship and direction to team members.

Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

Ensure timely and accurate processing of tenant billings and rent collections.

Oversee company bank accounts, including reconciliation and cash flow management.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for executive review.

Develop and manage annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, performing variance analysis to identify trends.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain robust internal controls and procedures.

Prepare annual reconciliations for Common Area Maintenance, insurance, and real estate tax expenses for tenants.

Supervise month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all records.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

A minimum of five years of accounting experience, with at least three years in a supervisory role.

Expertise in full-cycle accounting, financial statement preparation, and banking operations.

Strong knowledge of internal controls and accounting systems; experience with real estate accounting software is a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with tenants, vendors, and team members.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Analytical and organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools and a willingness to learn new technologies.
