Job Summary

Join our Menomonee Falls, WI Engineering team as a Principal Mechanical Engineer. We are looking for someone to take on a technical leadership role in projects which covers a variety of activities including design, packaging, component placement, cooling, and shock isolation for various naval power electronics assemblies.

What You Will Do

Responsible for driving technology and completion of activity on time and budget

Ability to complete a technical project independently and mentor and coach other engineers

Review customer specifications and requirements, and develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable

Document component and subsystem specifications and material requirements

Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services

Develop proto@types to retire key development risks

Communicate clearly with manufacturing, supply chain, program management and the customer as required

Participates heavily in preparation of the more complex and significant proposals

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field

10+ years relevant experience with design and packaging of medium to large power electronics or conversion systems

Understanding of vibration, acoustics, and thermal analysis for high power electronics packaging to meet military environments

Experience with 3-D CAD, thermal modeling, simulation and analysis with CFD packages

3D CAD experience, NX preferred

Knowledgeable of design/production of bus bars, aluminum and steel enclosures

Design optimization of noise, thermal, and EMI design parameters

U.S. Citizenship required.
