Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Willoughby, Ohio. This position involves overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable and receivable, and managing month-end closing processes. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in accounting within the manufacturing sector and possess leadership skills to guide a small team.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage account reconciliations, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, maintaining compliance and efficiency.

Prepare and post journal entries, adhering to organizational standards.

Lead month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Manage general ledger activities using Syteline software.

Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Provide guidance and support to a small team of 3-4 employees, fostering collaboration and productivity.

Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.

Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management review.

Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting.

Proficiency in managing general ledger activities, including Syteline software.

Strong knowledge of journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.

Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.

Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.

Leadership abilities to effectively manage and mentor a small team.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
