Position OverviewUnited Health Services (UHS) is seeking a detail-oriented Account Processor to join our finance team. In this role, you will support accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, account reconciliations, and record maintenance to ensure the integrity of our billing and payment systems. Your work helps maintain operational efficiency and contributes directly to the financial health of our organization.

Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours:

Compensation Range:

$17.05 - $22.17 per hour, depending on experience

Job Responsibilities:

Review claim status in EPIC and resolve billing edits to ensure timely claim submission.

Contact payers using Aging work lists to follow up on claim status, rebill, or adjust open balances as needed.

Analyze electronic claim rejection reports, correct errors, and resubmit claims promptly for reimbursement.

Verify claims and payments to ensure accurate reimbursement based on charge entry and payer requirements.

Document all actions and updates thoroughly in EPIC to maintain accurate financial records.

Update patient registration information to ensure correct insurance billing and timely payment.

Prepare and forward refund requests for approval when overpayments or billing errors are identified.

Maintain patient confidentiality, adhere to safety regulations, and perform duties flexibly across UHS locations as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Maintain a high degree of professionalism during interactions with staff and third party payers.

Ability to resolve issues as they occur while efficiently managing high work volume in a fast paced work environment.

Excellent communication/organizational skills required

Preferred:

A minimum of one year experience in a physician based medical billing office.
