The Cabin Electronics Product Group is the world's leading manufacturer of in-seat power systems for the commercial airline industry. The group's EmPower® product line provides a variety of scalable power solutions for aircraft passenger cabins and flight decks. The system is used by over 280 airlines, IFE suppliers, and all major aircraft OEM manufacturers worldwide.
Job Summary:
The Sr. Electrical Engineer, Product Support will provide production support to Operations and problem resolution support to Customer Return & Repair/Program Management for Cabin Electronics products. This includes addressing the resolution of manufacturing and field related problems, developing and evaluating design and process improvements, addressing component obsolescence, and conducting verification testing associated with design changes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Support Innovative Power Systems. The successful Electrical Engineer will leverage their skill and experience to support electrical power products. This role will participate in addressing the resolution of manufacturing and field related problems, suggesting and evaluating design and process improvements, addressing component obsolescence, and conducting verification testing associated with design changes. This position will support products with AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC power conversion, magnetics design, PCB layout, and EMI filtering.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering related engineering discipline.
Five years related experience, preferably with electrical design of power supply products.
Advanced understanding of analog, digital and power electrical/electronic circuits, with understanding of design and test of magnetic components preferred.
Familiarity/experience using embedded software (C, C+++), HTML scripts, and software life cycles.
Familiarity/experience with DO-160, Boeing, and/or Airbus EMI, power quality, and susceptibility requirements, including all environmental aspects of qualification for FAA compliance to Federal Regulations is preferred.
Familiarity/experience with D0-254 procedures, documents and testing to ensure compliance with its requirements preferred.
Employment Eligibility Requirements:
As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible .

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: $102,687 - $154,031 per year. ( Mid-point: $128,359 per year). Typically, hires are closer to the mid-point of the range. Various factors, such as experience, skills, education, and market conditions, will influence the actual salary offered.
