Job Description
Optical Lab Production Floor Associate
Essential Functions
An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Inventory Department: Ensure productivity of facility by processing work orders to workload and prioritizing orders; maintains quality, accuracy, and integrity ofInventory by scanning product in and out of departments using system software; sorting, placing, and storing freight or work orders in proper locations; moving freight manually.
Finish Department: Produce andmanufacture corrective eyewear by preparing lenses for production (for example, tracing, blocking, first inspection); producing lenses for placement in frames using edging equipment; manually mounting lenses in frames and assembling eyewear; and completing cosmetic add-ons(for example, polish, tint).
Surface Department: Produce and manufacture corrective eyewear by preparing lenses for production (example, layout, taping, blocking); creating curvature and thickness of lenses according to prescription using lens grinding equipment: applying hard coating lo lenses; and preparing lenses for add-ons (example, tint, no glare).
Maintain quality standards by reviewing and analyzing work tickets or other information for accuracy; adhering to standard operating procedures; and evaluating produced work for quality.
Communicate with other Wal-Mart associates and vendors verbally or in writing.

Work Environment
Working in the following environment is necessary to perform one or more of the essential functions of this position .
Move through narrow, enclosed, or elevated spaces.
Moves over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
Work indoors for extended periods of time.
Work overnight, weekends, and varying shifts.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.35-$20.85*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
