Koniag IT Systems is searching for an exceptionally talented Artificial Intelligence Ethics SME to assist the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) with implementing the DoD responsible artificial intelligence program. This position requires an experienced artificial intelligence systems engineer with an understanding of artificial intelligence ethics, law, and policy expertise.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Assist client with the implementation of the Department' responsible artificial intelligence program
Conduct practitioner research and maintain cognizance of trends, advancements, and best practices in artificial intelligence specific to ethics, privacy, fairness, and social responsibility across industry and academia
Work with cross-discipline teams to understand privacy, legal, and ethical considerations in the use of artificial intelligence/machine learning and analytics
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for content development for artificial intelligence ethics content, for areas such as fairness and bias in artificial intelligence and data analytics
Collaborates with Product Development Teams on the development of a strategy that incorporates ethical principles across the entire artificial intelligence product development lifecycle
Develops standard methodologies for responsible artificial intelligence product development, along with solutions to mitigate bias related issues
Partners closely with product teams, privacy, legal, and other stakeholders to define and implement ethical data practices throughout the organization and product offerings
Applies deep technical expertise in data science and artificial intelligence methodologies to build ethical AI capabilities and design models; and deploy model testing and validation practices that eliminate potential for biases
Develops artificial intelligence products that protects the privacy of end users and ensures that modeling practices are ethical and bias free
Develop new methods to identify and test for biases in models
Develop new methods to protect the confidentiality of data
Develop testing and validation rigor for all new AI methods
Collaborates with senior leaders and product development teams to ensure model testing and validation discipline is followed for all models, including models deployed in production
Transform technical information into professionally written, engaging and compelling content for learners.
Prepare reports, presentations, demonstrations, and instructional technical materials
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of related IT experience, 5 of which must be in artificial intelligence
Minimum 2 years' experience disciplinary expertise in cybersecurity, human factor, ethics and policy.
Minimum 2 years' experience designing and running Responsible Artificial Intelligence (RAI) Tabletop Exercises
Minimum of 2 years' experience conducting RAI Gaps analyses for the DoD and scoping Courses of Actions (COAs) and projects to address DoD RAI capability and process needs
Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Applied Ethics, Artificial Intelligence Ethics, Data Ethics or related field
