Description

We are looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our client in Oakland, California. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth patient scheduling and check-in processes while maintaining a welcoming and detail-oriented front office environment. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in medical administration and a passion for providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate patient scheduling to optimize appointment flow and minimize wait times.

Greet and check in patients, ensuring all necessary information and documentation is accurately collected.

Manage daily reception duties, including answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and directing patients appropriately.

Maintain the front office area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and welcoming.

Assist with verifying patient insurance details and processing necessary paperwork.

Utilize basic medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.

Support the administrative team by handling record-keeping and data entry tasks.

Ensure confidentiality and compliance with medical regulations during all interactions and processes.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical front office or receptionist role.

Proficiency in patient scheduling and familiarity with medical administrative processes.

Strong understanding of basic medical terminology.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff professionally.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with insurance verification and documentation procedures.

High attention to detail and organizational skills.
