Inventory Planner III

Location: 100% onsite in Everett, Washington 98203 -- Near Paine Field & Mukilteo

Target Start: July 2025

Contract Duration: 9 months (potential to extend)

Pay Rate: $23 - $27/hr depending on experience

Priority Shift Openings:

Back Half Nights: Wed-Sat 3pm-1:30am (please note in August, this shift will change to a 5pm start)

Front Half Nights: Sun-Wed 3pm-1:30am (please note in August, this shift will change to a 5pm start)

Training Shift:

Mon-Fri | 9am -- 5:30pm (first 2 weeks on the job)

Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals who want to join our team. You will be responsible for processing materials in order to support our customer -- the satellite production team. You will also interact with peer teams such as planning, quality, and safety to ensure our processes result in positive outcomes for these teams. You are a problem solver and are comfortable performing a variety of procedures and troubleshooting standard tasks.

You are detail oriented and know how to spot small discrepancies in all forms of data both physical and virtual. You are comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying workloads and in various paths. Over time you may learn to operate many different functions within our warehouse. You will start with one of the following paths and grow over time; Receive, Put-Away, Pick or Kit.

Responsibilities:

Handle materials accurately and efficiently for the production and manufacturing teams

Utilize SAP ERP, Excel, and proprietary software systems for material transactions

Document and report system issues and process inefficiencies

Manage physical and virtual material movements between sites

Support team training and development

Maintain safety, productivity, and quality standards

Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, hand carts, and if certified - forklift and/or electric pallet jacks)

Contribute to SOP improvements and safety procedures

Job Requirements:

Shift schedule may vary depending on program needs and may include a weekend day.

Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position.

Candidate Qualifications:

Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Strong execution of data and processes is required.

Must be highly organized, self-starting, and comfortable with business software, such as Excel.

The successful candidate must be flexible, possess good written and oral communication skills, be team-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines while working on several projects simultaneously.
