As part of the Operations Quality team, the Quality Inspector will assure product and process quality with emphasis on Product Compliance to technical documentations and manufacturing standards. You will have a great and direct impact in our Customer Satisfaction and delivery.

What You Will Do

Operate and manage Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure precise measurements of products.

Act as the point of contact for external software and machine maintenance requirements and calibrations.

Plan, coordinate, and utilize resources daily to meet company and customer commitments.

Apply advanced knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to inspect and verify product quality.

Inspect a variety of hardware for final acceptance, ensuring compliance with drawings and quality standards.

Prepare reports, maintain records, and log results, including identifying non-conforming parts.

Collaborate with teams across departments to address issues, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.

Perform incidental duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience

Experience using calibrated inspection measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, microscope, and rulers

Experience reading drawings and blueprints reading

Experience performing quality inspections

Ability to obtain U.S. government issued Secret security clearance after start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

CMM operations experience, PC DMIS preferred

Ability to conduct audits per a defined Quality Management System

Experience communicating with engineering teams, facilitators, and managers

Experience conducting area and process audits

Proficient knowledge of Factory Operating Systems (SAP/MRP, CMES, IMRO, VM)

Clearance Information: This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 56,000 USD - 112,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
