US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System Extended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team. Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain Windows Active Directory and Domain Name System (DNS) services, ensuring seamless authentication, authorization, and reliable name resolution.
Administer Dell Integrated Data Protection Appliance (IDPA) DP 4400 (or similar solutions) to provide data protection, backup, and disaster recovery readiness.
Implement and manage Red Hat Certificate Services (RHCS) to support secure authentication, encryption, and certificate management across the enterprise.
Configure, administer, and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8 and 9 servers, including installation, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting to maintain performance and security.
Leverage Puppet for configuration management and automation to enforce consistency and compliance across systems and applications.
Administer RSA Authentication Manager Enterprise for secure identity management and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
Manage Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) to deliver timely patches while meeting security compliance requirements.
Maintain and optimize Microsoft SQL Server 2019 databases, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
Administer Microsoft Windows Server 2019 environments, including Active Directory domains, Group Policy management, and virtualization.
Oversee VMware vCenter and VMware ESXi environments, managing virtual machine lifecycle, performance optimization, and capacity planning.
Perform Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) assessments and remediation to ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deploy technical solutions that meet business and security requirements.
Stay ahead of emerging technologies, industry trends, and evolving cybersecurity threats to continuously improve system resilience and security posture.
Required Qualifications:
Five (5) or more years of professional Systems Administration experience.
Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline (additional professional experience may be substituted for formal education).
Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance (must be maintained).
Demonstrated expertise in Windows Active Directory and DNS, including domain controllers, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and DNS configuration.
Proficiency in administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8 and 9, including command-line management, patching, troubleshooting, and security hardening.
Hands-on experience with VMware vCenter and ESXi, including provisioning, resource management, and performance tuning.
Experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions, such as Dell IDPA DP 4400 or equivalent.
Familiarity with RSA Authentication Manager Enterprise for implementing secure access controls and MFA.
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2019, including installation, tuning, and backup and recovery strategy.

The likely salary range for this position is $78,200 - $105,800. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
