If you are a MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our CUDAHY, WI location, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing key project initiatives in the manufacturing plant, as well as working multi-functionally to improve profitability targets throughout all value streams.
AS A MANUFACTURING ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
Research and justify capital equipment expenditures for efficient and economical manufacture of products.
Design and develop new fixturing and tooling.
Perform "prove out" PFMEA of new manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, fixtures, etc., including compliance to quality specifications.
Analyze, plan, and ensure the maximum utilization of human, material, and machine assets, workforce utilization, space requirements and workflow, and layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Work with vendors to test/trial upgrades of existing tooling to improve manufacturing processes.
Create and maintain routings and manufacturing bills of materials.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering major, or 3 years of related experience in a machining/manufacturing environment, will be considered.
Experience with ERP software.
Proficient with AutoCAD, Inventor, Mastercam, and/or similar software & Microsoft Office.
Knowledgeable in machining process, G-codes and CNC programming, cutting tool selection, and fixture design.
Blueprint reading and working GD&T knowledge
Ability to travel up to 10-15% of the time.
Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
5 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role with robotic experience.
Experience utilizing Oracle systems.
Knowledge and application of LEAN Manufacturing techniques
Schedule
The facility works 24 hours a day and typically 5 days a week. Our core office hours range anywhere between 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, and are flexible given we work together to best support business demands as well as the needs of our customers around the world.
