HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

An Electrical / Electronics Technician works as part of the Assembly Department. An individual filling this job performs repetitive and non-repetitive assembly tasks of precision electromechanical components. Strong emphasis is put on product quality, cosmetic handling damage, and the ability to build functional products with little to no rework required.

Performs analysis, testing, and support of electronics and circuits. Fabricates and assembles electronics systems from blueprints, schematics, or sketches using knowledge of electronic systems, components, and their functions. Troubleshoot product designs and suggest or implement improvements. Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of proto@type or production models. Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments. Work with engineers to perform root cause and failure analysis as required. Provides support manufacturing.

This position requires safety shoes and shielded safety glasses.

Experienced in complex electrical assemblies.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

High School/Trade School diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years' experience

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Experienced in complex electrical assemblies

Experience with:

Oscilloscope

Multimeter

Variable frequency drives

Servo motor controllers

Data logging equipment/software

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity.

Great interpersonal skills.

Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback.

Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Brushless DC motor experience a plus.

PLC experience a plus.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.

Constantly moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.

Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.

Constantly moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.

Constantly adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.

Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.

Constantly Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Occasionally operating machinery and/or power tools.

Occasionally operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.

Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.

Occasional sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.

Constant light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds

Occasional medium to heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.

Prolonged use of computer monitors.

Works around chemicals such as gases, liquid, solvents, etc. Personal protective equipment is provided and required.
