The Manufacturing Engineering department leads in the mechanical and electrical hardware production of weapons systems. We use state-of-the-art tools, processes, and technology, with capabilities encompassing a broad range of technical disciplines, including product engineering, manufacturing, technical services, materials engineering, analysis and test, rapid hardware development and builds, and configuration and data management documentation.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer - Advanced Rework Engineer to join our team.
This position is located at the McKinney, TX facility - On-site role.
Team responsibilities include developing and implementing materials and processes, process improvements, and production support using statistical process control techniques, experimental designs, material analysis, mechanical design analysis, and root cause analysis. Evaluation of materials, equipment, and processes (including qualification, acceptance testing, and specification development) will be required.

What You Will Do
Support the advanced rework processes for two factories, developing heating profiles and programs for new configurations requiring component removal using automated equipment.
Generate instructions for each factory so that operators can use the programs that are developed to complete production.
Communicate with cross-functional teams including product engineering, programs, quality, management and teammates to coordinate, prioritize and strategize the work
Take on additional instructional documentation as needed for the factory.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
1+ year experience with circuit card assembly, including surface mount and through-hole rework.
Certified in J-STD-001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies.

Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with hot-gas or automated rework systems (Onyx-29/32, Kurtz Ersa, or similar platforms).
X-ray machine experience.
Ability to work with large teams in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with factory operating systems like SAP/Prism, MES.
Experience with semi-automated and manual assembly and integration.
Knowledge of depot and sustainment activities for defense-related hardware, specifically electronics.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
