Job Title: Chemical Engineer

Job Description

The primary function of the Process Engineer is to support the Pourline Process Manager by overseeing day-to-day production from a process perspective. This includes modifying production schedules to optimize yield and ensuring overall process health through maintenance and daily checks.

Responsibilities

Follow all general safety regulations and use provided safety equipment as required.

Understand ISO 9001 requirements and adhere to established work instructions and procedures.

Modify existing reporting systems for new methods, material specifications, and products.

Create new machinery and process systems.

Implement process improvements and write and update procedures.

Train personnel and develop foam formulations that meet customer and organizational expectations.

Maintain a neat, organized, and clean work area, following 5S principles where appropriate.

Cross-train in other positions as required.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

A degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or at least 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the polymer industry.

Ability to read and interpret documents and training materials such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions.

Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.

University-level proficiency in mathematics, including algebra, transport, heat transfer, and fluid flow phenomena.

Logical approach to problem-solving and decision-making based on facts and verifiable figures..

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
