Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract to possible contract to hire. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and timely payment.

Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and oversee check runs to maintain payment schedules.

Utilize Acumatica and Microsoft Excel to streamline accounts payable operations and ensure data accuracy.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions for audit and reporting purposes.

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address inquiries and ensure smooth communication.

Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable.

Assist in month-end closing processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of enhanced workflows.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.

Proficiency in coding invoices and managing payment methods such as ACH and check runs.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with formulas and analyze financial data.

Familiarity with Acumatica or similar ERP systems is strongly preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Excellent communication abilities to coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Knowledge of accounts payable best practices and compliance standards.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
