Description

Robert Half is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Middlesex County, NJ area. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including matching and coding invoices, handling purchase orders, and more. If you have 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience and are looking to grow your career, this is the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

Process invoices accurately and efficiently using company systems and tools.

Manage accounts payable operations, including verifying and capturing data in compliance with company policies.

Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Prepare schedules, journal entries, and update general ledger accounts as needed.

Collaborate with team members and departments to ensure timely payments and adherence to deadlines.

Maintain organized records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the optimization of accounts payable workflows.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is REQUIRED.

Proven experience in accounts payable operations, including invoice processing and reconciliation.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including vlookups, formulas, and functions.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with team members.

High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.

Positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
