Job Title: Electrical Test Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Test Engineer who will be integral in studying and understanding existing circuits and electrical devices, both analog and digital. This role involves generating and implementing product and process improvements with a focus on power conversion and microcontroller integration. You will be tasked with testing and troubleshooting systems, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and proto@types. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing technical content, including test procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports, and Engineering Change Orders.

Responsibilities

Study and understand existing analog and digital circuits and electrical devices.

Generate and implement product and process improvements focused on power conversion and microcontroller integration.

Test and troubleshoot systems, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and proto@types.

Develop and review technical content, including test procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports, and Engineering Change Orders.

Manage configuration procedures and write documentation and test reports.

Support Root Cause and Corrective Action activities.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in schematic reading and troubleshooting.

Experience with Linux, C+, and Python programming languages.

Background in embedded programming, microprocessor, and microcontroller.

BS degree in Engineering with 2-4 years of relevant professional experience.

Ability to work through problems and learn new skills from more experienced colleagues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with AC and DC powered systems and electro-magnetic interference is a plus.

Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for DOD security clearance.

Self-motivated and able to take initiative without direction.

Creative and resourceful problem-solving skills.

Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills for collaboration.

Comfort and capability with hands-on lab work.

Exposure to CAN programming is beneficial.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Oakland, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $10.00 - $53.88/hr.
