Job Title: Quality Technician

Location: Hanahan, SC

Employment Type: Full-Time, On-site

Job Summary:

The Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electronic products. This position requires a strong technical background and some experience in quality assurance, ideally in a manufacturing environment. The Quality Technician will support the quality team by inspecting products, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform inspections of electronic components, assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Conduct root cause analysis and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.

Collaborate with production teams to ensure quality protocols are followed throughout the manufacturing process.

Document inspection results and quality findings using established reporting tools and systems.

Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment and tools.

Participate in internal audits to ensure adherence to quality management systems.

Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.

Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by verifying quality standards during the initial production phase.

Qualifications:

Technical background in electronics or a related field (e.g., associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience).

Some experience in quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies such as root cause analysis, 8D, or 5 Whys.

Basic understanding of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in using inspection tools such as multimeters, calipers, and microscopes.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

$45,000 - $60,000 a year
