Job Description

As a Toolmaker, your primary responsibility will be troubleshooting and repairing dies for presses, which is 90% of the job. You will inspect, repair, and test damaged molds, dies, springs, and punches. Additionally, you will set up and operate CNC Bridgeport Mills and Lathes, fabricate tooling components, and assemble them into production tooling and fixtures. Maintenance on furnaces, core builders, pneumatic cylinders, crimpers, and injection mold machines is also part of your role. Designing and building jigs and fixtures will be required.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair dies for presses.

Inspect, repair, and test molds, dies, springs, and punches.

Set up and operate CNC Bridgeport Mills and Lathes.

Fabricate tooling components and assemble them into production tooling and fixtures.

Perform maintenance on furnaces, core builders, pneumatic cylinders, crimpers, and injection mold machines.

Design and build jigs and fixtures.

Essential Skills

Ability to set up, operate, perform tool changes, and offsets to CNC mills or lathes.

TIG or MIG welding skills.

Ability to interpret blueprints and make machine adjustments based on prints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Laser Welding experience is advantageous.

Familiarity with Bridgeport equipment is a plus.

Experience in injection mold processes is beneficial.

Tool and Die certifications are preferred.

Injection mold certifications are desirable.
