Responsibilities Serving as a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (Policy and Planning) GS-2210-15 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Chief Information Officer Directorate (CIO), Enterprise IT Services Division (ITS). The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist, responsible for the comprehensive management and strategic oversight of IT capabilities and resources, providing expert technical advisory support to senior staff, leading interdisciplinary working groups, and ensuring the delivery of robust and scalable IT services through strategic planning, policy development, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with industry best practices and federal regulations. Work Environment: The majority of the work is performed in an office setting. The position must be able to make site visits to on-site and off-site locations. The position does spend time in private or on public transportation in conjunction with travel to meetings and visits to other government offices or contractor facilities. Working hours are within the typical workday, however major and non-major IT activities may require overtime or weekend support. The work area involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions. Temperatures in computer and network communications facilities are controlled to accommodate the hardware and may necessitate exposure to uncomfortable conditions.
