Contracts Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana, on a contract basis. In this role, you will oversee the review, drafting, and negotiation of various agreements to minimize organizational risk while aligning with institutional policies and objectives. This position requires a strong legal background and hands-on experience in contract management.

Responsibilities:

Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including master service agreements, statements of work, and independent contractor agreements.

Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on contract terms and conditions to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Collaborate with the Office of the General Counsel to address legal concerns and compliance requirements.

Analyze and mitigate risks associated with contractual obligations while maintaining adherence to institutional policies.

Manage the lifecycle of contracts, including amendments, terminations, and renewals.

Facilitate discussions with internal teams to ensure clarity and efficiency in contract execution.

Oversee agreements related to software licenses, digital marketing, event spaces, and catering services.

Administer non-disclosure agreements and recruiting/staffing contracts.

Maintain accurate records of contract documentation and updates.

Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for contract management processes. Requirements - Law degree required, with a focus on contract law or related field.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a contract attorney or in a similar role.

Strong expertise in commercial contracts, contract negotiations, and contract administration.

Proven ability to draft and review complex legal agreements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with stakeholders and legal teams.

Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and analytical capabilities.

Familiarity with software licensing agreements and other specialized contract @types.

Ability to work on-site in New Orleans, Louisiana.
