Honeywell's ACST team is seeking an experienced Lead Machinist/Fabricator for our Chandler, AZ. Location.
Be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to develop, implement and maintain methods and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Using your technical expertise, you will create programs, manufacturing instructions, and identify/design tooling for new or existing product lines.

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:
Mentoring team members on fabrication best practices
Collaborating with a team for shop layout and equipment upgrades/selection
Set up and operate various fabrication machines and tools such as saws, mills, lathes, and welders
Modify complex components and assemblies without specific direction for Fit, Form, & Function
Fabrication work, cutting, drilling, tapping, polishing, assembly, ECT.
Make fixtures and special tooling
Interpret engineering drawings and select appropriate processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize fabrication processes
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Conduct inspections, testing, and quality checks to ensure compliance with standards
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
Required to travel Monday through Friday, returning home on weekends, with the expectation of traveling for up to 2 weeks per month throughout 2025 and 2026

YOU MUST HAVE
High school diploma or GED
10+ years set up and operation of Manual & CNC machining centers
5+ years of CNC programming and set-up experience (Mastercam)
2+ years of TIG welding experience
Demonstrated ability to cross train and learn multiple processes
WE VALUE
2-year technical degree / certification in a machining program
Experience with shop layout and equipment selection
Experience running Haas or Okuma CNC Machines
Experience fabricating fixtures and tooling
Pro?ciency with manual lathe and mill machines
Experience with design programs such as SolidWorks
Working Knowledge of other various other fabrication machines such as: EDM, laser cutting, CNC benders, 3D printing

YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Engineering Technician or a related role
Strong technical skills in mechanical systems and components
Experience leading a team of technicians
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
Experience with CAD software and other engineering tools
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
