Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Rocklin, California. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting various accounting functions. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

Manage month-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure integrity of financial data.

Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.

Conduct account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Assist with tax preparation and adjustments to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Organize and clean up financial records, including books, files, and receipts, for improved efficiency.

Apply GAAP principles to ensure adherence to accounting standards.

Track and calculate fixed asset depreciation for accurate reporting.

Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage and streamline accounting processes. Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, demonstrating a solid understanding of financial processes.

Proficiency in month-end close procedures and general ledger management.

Strong ability to prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts with attention to detail.

Familiarity with bank reconciliations and resolving financial discrepancies.

Knowledge of tax preparation and adjustments, including compliance with regulations.

Experience with GAAP accounting principles and their application in financial reporting.

Skilled in using QuickBooks Online for accounting tasks and process optimization.

Ability to calculate and track fixed asset depreciation accurately.
