This Hybrid Network/System Administrator position is a new role for Clark County. This Information Technology position will collaborate closely with the Traffic Division of Public Works. This division is responsible for ensuring effective functioning traffic signals, railroad crossings, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS).

In this dynamic role, your primary focus will be the management, security, and optimization of the traffic network infrastructure. You'll take the lead in efforts to enhance performance, maintain reliability, and provide expert support. Additionally, you'll also apply your skills and expertise to the traffic-specific server environment when needed, diagnosing and resolving issues across both to keep operations running smoothly.

There may be the option to work remotely part of the time. This will fluctuate depending on work you're doing and projects and/or performance.

This position is represented by the Information Technology Guild.

Qualifications

Examples of duties

Supervise network and server infrastructure performance, perform analysis, to find solutions to resolve issues.

Monitoring systems and network for security risks and ensuring IT security standards are being met across all traffic related infrastructure.

Participate in ensuring the security by implementing standard methodologies in infrastructure security.

Provides responsive, transparent support to ensure an outstanding customer service experience.

Collaborate with members of the IT team
