Minimum Qualifications
Four years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus one year of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; OR
A bachelor's degree with twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus one year of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; OR
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, or statistics plus one year of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; OR
An advanced degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, quantitative methods, or statistics; OR
Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
As an Accountant 2, the incumbent will:
Record the coding of all transactions in LaGOV and prepares journal vouchers for correction as needed.
Audit the invoices for expenses to ensure documentation supports the transactions. Prepare monthly reports of recorded expenditures in order to prepare monthly draws of Interagency Transfers (IAT).
Be responsible for projecting annual expenditures and reconciles the receipt of funds to expenditures invoiced for reimbursement.
Assist the Programmatic Staff in the development of budgets for management's review and approval by preparing spreadsheets of expected expenditures and revenues to ensure accuracy of computation prior to submission to Programmatic staff's submission.
Lead meeting discussions, quarterly and annually, on the status of IAT expenditures and revenues with Management Team.
Prepare responses for management's review of LDH and/or SAMSHA requests regarding grantsexpenditures.
