Mill Accountant

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description Summary Perform accounting functions for
Daybreak Foods and New Day Farms. These responsibilities are a part of
the mill accounting team for all locations primarily consisting of
reporting on grain purchases and usage. Key Responsibilities: Maintain
corn and soybean position report for all Daybreak mill locations.
Calculate and analyze cost of feed by barn weekly. Report on feed usage
by barn weekly. Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure weekly
payment for corn purchases is calculated accurately. Prepare and track
monthly inventory to ensure accurate financial statements. Ensure
customers are invoiced for manure deliveries monthly. Maintain and
routinely track land leases and invoice customers for rent payments.
Maintain documentation as required by state departments of agriculture.
Coordinate and prepare documentation required for grain license
renewals. Assist with preparation of grain audit workpapers. Various
monthly accruals and reconciliations. Responsible for building
relationships and ensuring proper communication with internal and
external stakeholders. Perform other departmental related duties as
assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual

Education and/or Experience Associate\'s Degree in Accounting, Business
or a related discipline preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1-3
years of accounting experience. Knowledge of basic accounting concepts
and terminology. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Windows Suite
including Outlook, Word and Excel. Possess an understanding of office
workflow. Able to work independently and effectively work on multiple
projects simultaneously. Strong organizational and time management
skills. Polished and flexible interpersonal and oral and written
communication skills. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to
achieve objectives. Attention to detail and problem solver. Physical
Demands Sit, use keyboard, use fine manipulation with hands and fingers.
Lift up to 10 pounds. Work Environment Clean, temperature-controlled
environment. Noise level is low. No personal protective equipment
