McKinsey & Company Inc. US is seeking a Specialist in New York, NY.Independently lead workstreams and be responsible for the progress and deliverables of workstreams, from customer insights analytics, sales modeling, pricing and promotions, and digital marketing measurement, to analytic transformation. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Data Scientists within the team, fostering their overall growth and data science skills development. Lead data science teams in project planning, resource allocation, and execution (e.g. supporting proposals, contributing to white papers). Assist in practice and Data Science guild to build cutting edge knowledge to contribute to build firm's Analytics playbooks and knowledge documentations, sharing advanced technology or engagement best-practice in learning sessions, and improve internal tools (e.g., optimize and scale internal data assets and solutions, including maintain data pipelines and leverage new technology to improve efficiency). Design personalized offers, define and plan analytical models and strategies, and measure the effectiveness of the models. Build Cross-sell, churn and Upsell models and utilize Generative AI to enhance the results. Actively participate in practice, growth platform, or guild initiatives (e.g. buddying, coaching, learning, practice meetings, supporting recruiting efforts). Create insightful data visualizations using Python libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn) and reports to convey findings and support decision-making. Structure and prepare end products and documents in support of the workstream. Apply statistical techniques to build econometrics models for price elasticities and solve pricing problems. Apply machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems and provide actionable insights. Utilize data science toolkit such as Python, R, and SQL to analyze large datasets, and extract valuable insights. Support client development and contribute to potential business opportunities by leveraging domain knowledge or providing analytics support including supporting proposals for new clients/new workstreams for existing clients, contributing to white papers that may attract potential clients. Ensure data privacy and compliance with relevant Firm and client regulations in data handling and analysis (e.g., handling PII information). Telecommuting permitted. Qualified applicants for this position must possess a minimum of a Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field or foreign degree equivalent and minimum one (1) year of experience in a data-driven role. Experience must include: using Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency in SQL and Python; performing AB testing; translating business problem into analytics problem and choosing right tools and methodology to problem solve; communicating with leadership and senior clients on key findings/deliverables; working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with different stakeholders; using advanced analytics software tools including Python and R; querying large database using advanced SQL on different environments including Snowflake and DBeaver; creating insightful data visualizations using Python libraries to convey findings and support decision-making; using data visualization tools including Tableau and PowerBI to generate reports and dashboards; using machine learning tools and packages to create predictive models and utilizing Generative AI to enhance the results; using big data technologies and platforms including Spark or AWS/GCP/Azure services; ensuring data privacy and compliance are upheld at every stage of data lifecycle throughout client projects. $192K-$208K / yearEmail your resume to CO@mckinsey.com & refer to Job #8819803.Worksite: McKinsey & Company Inc.
