About the Professional Licensing Agency:
The Indiana Professional Licensing Agency is seeking an individual to help protect the health and safety of the citizens of Indiana by providing quality, efficient service to all professional licensees, applicants, and the public. The fundamental purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the board director, the licensing board/commissions, and to directly supervise the customer service representatives' projects across a broad scope of career opportunities. Role Overview:
The INSPECT Business Systems Analyst for the state's Prescription Drug Monitoring Program oversees the daily operations and functionality of the database. This role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, oversees the credentialing of database users and serves as their first point of contact, troubleshoots technical issues, manages error resolution, provides support for data submitters, and serves as a liaison with the state's IT vendor.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $55,224.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
Serve as INSPECT point of contact for dispensers (pharmacies) and practitioners.
Exercises database management skills.
Troubleshoot problems for pharmacies reporting dispensations to the program daily.
Evaluate the technical support needs of INSPECT users. If tier 2 support is needed, open a ticket with IT and track the progress until the ticket has been closed.
Utilize a Tableau dashboard built for pharmacy compliance to determine the rate of report delinquency.
Compose correspondance of a general or technical nature in response to INSPECT users or other affected and/or interested persons.
Review pharmacy audit logs for compliance and communicate issues of non-compliance with delinquent pharmacies.
Review online applications for practitioner user accounts and verify the credentials of the applicant.
Attend regular meetings with INSPECT's technology vendor. - Document standard daily processes for dispenser audits.
Identify and document areas within the existing platform where improvement is needed. Define the scope of user issue. Communicate with vendor to facilitate a solution.
Ability to multi-task and set priorities for assigned tasks for the team and monitor completion of tasks.
Assembles personalized and/or specialized reports and data on projects for the Board of Pharmacy, academic research and for other state and federal agencies, including responding to Subpoena requests.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
What You'll Need for Success:
The ideal candidate in this role should minimally have either:
a Bachelor's Degree, or
an Associate's degree with some experience, or
at least 1 year of experience applying the below, outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role.
Related certifications and coursework may be considered for education or experience.
Specialized knowledge of some of the organization's business systems and commercial business applications.
Specialized knowledge of common technical problems and solutions as they relate to organization's business systems and commercial applications.
Specialized knowledge of fundamental concepts, system design, relationships between various elements of the overall solution.
Ability to comprehend and translate business systems or application requirements in a meaningful and functional manner.
Ability to apply system development methodologies to oversee systems modifications and initiatives.
Ability to use logic and critical thinking to address issues efficiently and effectively.
Ability to adapt to new information and scenarios and understand the implications of those changes.
Familiarity with using and interpreting data structures and relationships.
Ability to lead, encourage and influence others to perform.
Effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
