Job Description
We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a growing team responsible for the fabrication, integration, test, and delivery of fully integrated propulsion systems for both launch vehicles and spacecraft. This role is critical in scaling complex manufacturing processes, improving cost efficiency, and driving innovation in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
You will oversee a team of 14 engineers, organized into four sub-teams.
Each engineer is embedded in a sub-team and guided by a lead engineer. Your leadership will be instrumental in scaling operations, managing team capacity, and ensuring technical excellence across all propulsion manufacturing domains.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers across propulsion subassemblies and engine systems.
Drive continuous improvement and process development to increase production rates and reduce costs.
Guide root cause investigations and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
Develop, test, and qualify new production processes and tooling.
Collaborate with production teams to manage build schedules and improve accuracy through data-driven insights.
Implement standards for manufacturing readiness reviews, new product integration, and production handoff.
Own and maintain manufacturing controls within the ERP system.
Build and manage team budgets, perform capacity analysis, and develop forecasting models.
Participate in design reviews to ensure design-for-manufacturing principles are applied.
Champion lean manufacturing and modern production methodologies.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (Mechanical preferred for hands-on experience).
7+ years of experience in manufacturing complex assemblies or systems.
1+ years of engineering leadership experience.
Strong background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Experience with CAD and FEA tools.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical drawings.
Proven ability to scale manufacturing operations and implement process improvements.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills.
Strong decision-making and critical thinking abilities.
Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing documentation. Hands-on experience with welding, precision cleaning, and fluid systems.
Familiarity with fluid dynamics, fluid control, and conveyance systems.
Experience writing assembly and test procedures.
Knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, advanced Excel). null
