Summary This vacancy is for a WG-8852-10, Aircraft Mechanic located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Medium Range Recovery (MRR) Product Line Division, MRR Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) Branch, in Elizabeth City, NC. Responsibilities You will serve as an Aircraft Mechanic and be responsible for performing aircraft mechanic journey level work, training others in that trade or other trades, if skilled, and performing varied tasks in other trades. Typical work assignments include: Repairing and maintaining various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems. Using standard and specialized tools and test equipment of the trade including fixtures. Rigging, function testing, or troubleshooting the systems of major assemblies. Demonstrating or explaining proper techniques, method of operation, and safety practices. Checking a variety of complex technical guides to ensure they include up-to-date changes.
