We're seeking a highly motivated AI Adoption Strategist to drive the adoption of generative AI developer tools across the enterprise. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you'll have the opportunity to work with software engineers, product managers, and AI/ML experts to accelerate the use of AI-powered developer tools and deliver measurable impact for our teams.
What you'll be doing:
Create momentum and drive adoption of generative AI developer tools through direct engagement with Lockheed Martin's developer community
Deliver live workshops, training sessions, and enablement programs on AI-assisted coding, prompt engineering, and workflow automation
Develop blogs, tutorials, and how-to videos showcasing best practices and impactful use cases
Engage across internal communication platforms to answer questions, share updates, and foster a collaborative AI developer ecosystem
Define and execute cross-functional AI adoption initiatives, such as enterprise LLM rollouts, developer upskilling programs, and tool integration roadmaps
Lead change-management plans, including stakeholder communications, onboarding strategies, and success metric tracking
Partner with engineering leaders to identify tool and solution gaps, and influence product direction based on developer feedback
Synthesize adoption metrics, developer feedback, and market trends into executive-ready reports and decision packages
Build and sustain a vibrant AI developer community through events, hackathons, and forums
Champion AI ethics, security, and trust principles in developer workflows
Serve as a bridge between developers, product teams, and leadership to ensure alignment on priorities and roadmap

You are a highly motivated and experienced AI professional with a strong background in generative AI, developer enablement, and strategic program execution. You have:
Strong technical advocacy and strategic change management skills
Experience with AI-powered developer tools and workflows
Excellent communication and community-building skills
Ability to drive community engagement and lead initiatives that deliver measurable impact
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into executive-ready reports and decision packages
Experience working with cross-functional teams and influencing product direction based on developer feedback
Strong passion for AI ethics, security, and trust principles in developer workflows

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.

5+ years of experience in AI strategy, developer relations, or technical program management.

Proven track record leading enterprise-scale technology adoption initiatives.

Strong technical understanding of generative AI, developer tools, and modern software development workflows.

Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences.
Desired Skills:

Advanced credentials in AI ethics, MLOps, or enterprise architecture.

Experience in scenario planning and multi-year adoption roadmap development.

Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, internal LLMs).

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $147,400 - $255,530. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,200 - $225,975. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
