Budget Analyst

That's why we need you, a finan cia l analyst who can navigate the requirements, policies , and regulations that govern Department of Defense ( DoD ) funding, to make sure our client can make the most impact.

The Finan cia l and Defense Budget Analyst will be responsible for supporting a defense client with analyzing and interpreting finan cia l information to support decision-making and budget planning processes, including assisting in the development and implementation of finan cia l policies , assisting with preparing and analyzing budget s, and monitoring the execution of funds. You will use your demonstrated finan cia l experience to develop innovative strategies to solve complex problems and assist with a broad range of finan cia l activities such as managing Planning, Programming, Budget ing, and Execution ( PPBE ) processes, and ongoing finan cia l and annual audit analysis. You will participate in review meetings and briefings, developing plans and briefs, preparing and coordinating the dissemination of documents and materials related to monthly reporting, entering commitment and obligating funding documents, monitoring the execution of appropriated funds, performing research, and helping reduce Unliquidated Obligations ( ULOs ) .

As an independent contributor in this role, your client relationship skills will be essential to building t rus t and operating in accordance while adhering to ethical guidelines and maintaining professional integrity. You Have:

1+ year of experience in finan cia l analysis or accounting, and performing analytical and budget ary duties with DoD PPBE

1+ year of experience with program development, and assisting with budget formulation, preparation, justification, and execution

Experience with regulated procedures for reimbursable agreements, contracts, and funding documents, and finan cia l processes utilized by the government, private, and corporate sectors

Experience using Micro sof t Office Suite and creating complex spreadsheets

Experience with Micro sof t database tools such as Access and Power BI

Ability to quickly learn and use new government finan cia l and programming systems and applications

Ability to interpret the intent of a client's needs effectively and help to shape and form the solutions to non-expert audiences and leadership

Ability to be a self-starter in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment with aggressive project timelines and continual client delivery

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

Bachelor's degree in a Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or Business field

Nice If You Have:

Experience with DAR-Q, Defense Agencies Initiative ( DAI ) , auditing, SOA, or the Managers Internal Control Program ( MICP )

Experience with DoD finan cia l management, Oracle-based, and accounting or oversight systems such as DAI, SAP ERP, or Wide Area Workflow ( WAWF )

Ability to pay strict attention to detail

Possession of excellent client relationship skills

Possession of excellent file management skills

Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
