Position Summary:
The Operational Excellence Manager plays a pivotal role, influencing all parts of the organization and leading continuous improvement efforts across the company. The Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for mapping out the organization's core business process and identifying opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and efficiency gains. They will collaborate closely with executives, directors, and managers across various departments to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work with executives, directors, and managers to identify improvement opportunities in cross-functional teams and assist in providing a strategy to meet organizational goals.
Evaluate and assess the organization's business processes to identify opportunities for improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, service, and profitability.
Identify and analyze opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency gains.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that each project will deliver the required benefits being appropriately resourced while using SME and external resources as needed.
Document processes using flowcharts, process maps, and diagrams to ensure that they can be reviewed and analyzed for efficiency.
Design new processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and data cleanliness.
Lead cross-functional activities and working sessions during project design and implementation phases.
Plan and execute process improvement projects, clearly communicating the project scope and timeline to cross-functional team members.
Align improvement projects with business objectives and prioritizes backlog of opportunities in accordance with company goals.
Analyze effectiveness of processes on a regular basis through Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies in order to ensure optimal productivity.
Collect and study operational and performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Continuously measure and monitor processes, risks and controls by conducting post-implementation reviews and project follow-up.
Employ Six Sigma and LEAN methodology and analytics into organizational operations to accomplish business objectives and eliminate waste.
Understands and consistently performs in accordance with ATS Mission, Vision, and Values.

Complete work responsibilities outside of normal business hours as needed and infrequent travel may be required.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience
4-5 years of functional and technical project-related work required.
Black belt, green belt in LEAN Six Sigma preferred or training and certification completion.
Process development in an End-to-End environment desired.
Proven experience in development and implementation of process and systems changes.
Experience in the transportation industry is highly preferred.
Strong attention to detail required.
Proficient in adjusting communication style and messaging for diverse organizational audiences.
Must be able to demonstrate a proactive commitment to ATS corporate values and the success of all staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
Excellent communication skills (written, listening, and verbal).
Compensation & Benefits
· The anticipated base salary for this position is $100,000.00 to $140,000.00. Base salary offered is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic as compared to others doing substantially similar work.
