As Social Media Manager, you'll be at the forefront of shaping how we show up in the digital world - driving engagement, building community, and amplifying our brands of First Alert , Honeywell Home , and Resideo across social platforms, all while delivering measurable, business-driving results.
You'll lead the development and execution of compelling, platform-native content strategies that bring our brand story to life for both consumers and professional audiences. Equal parts strategist, creator, and community builder, you'll own our organic social presence from planning through publishing, real-time engagement, and performance reporting.
This is a highly cross-functional role, requiring close collaboration with creative, content, product, PR, and paid media teams. You'll stay ahead of social trends and emerging platforms, ensuring Resideo maintains a strong, relevant, and forward-thinking voice in the smart home space.
JOB DUTIES:
STRATEGY & LEADERSHIP
Build a data-driven, audience-first approach that drives engagement and brand affinity while guiding prospects through the funnel - ultimately using social channels to influence purchase decisions and support business growth.
Deeply understand our customers by leveraging social analytics and platform targeting capabilities to precisely reach and engage key audience segments within social channels.
Understand each brand's unique positioning, value proposition, and target audiences to develop and execute an aligned social media strategy that effectively supports their individual goals and resonates with their communities.
Effectively manage and optimize the social media budget to maximize ROI, strategically balancing investments across organic content, strategic partnerships and influencers, and campaign execution for measurable business impact.
CONTENT DEVELOPMENT & OPTIMIZATION
Strategically develop and oversee dynamic social content calendars that drive brand initiatives, fuel product launches, and amplify seasonal campaigns for maximum audience impact.
Create and source original content that aligns with each brand's unique identity, fostering meaningful conversations and driving engagement through clear storytelling and strong visual design.
Strategically develop content with GEO, AI search optimized, and SEO to enhance discoverability on AI-powered search and recommendation engines.
Develop shareable content tailored for our B2B2C journey that enables customers to easily incorporate and promote our products within their own marketing channels, amplifying reach and driving mutual growth.
DATA & PERFORMANCE INSIGHTS
Leverage data to drive decision-making, focusing on metrics such as engagement quality, sentiment analysis, conversion tracking, and customer acquisition costs.
Establish a data-informed framework for A/B testing, content experimentation, and ongoing optimization.
TECHNOLOGY & TOOLS
Utilize AI tools for content creation, scheduling, copywriting, trend monitoring, and design support.
Manage the end-to-end content publishing process, including utilizing scheduling tools, coordinating approval workflows, and ensuring timely delivery across all social media platforms.
Collaborate with paid media teams to identify and amplify high-performing organic content for extended reach.
PARTNERSHIPS & COLLABORATION
Build and nurture relationships with Pro influencers, smart home advocates, and industry leaders to expand reach and credibility.
Work closely with Product, PR, Creative, and Marketing teams to ensure cohesive, integrated campaigns across all customer touchpoints.
Partner with Customer Service and Crisis Management teams to implement best-in-class strategies for monitoring, communication, and issue response.
Collaborate closely with global team members and agency partners to develop and execute a cohesive social media strategy that meets their needs, aligns with regional goals, and ensures a consistent brand presence.
TRAVEL:
Up to 10% travel required
YOU MUST HAVE:
5+ years of experience in social, marcom, marketing, or a similar role.
Additional certifications in social media management, digital marketing, or analytics.
Experience analyzing performance metrics (e.g., engagement, sentiment, conversion) to inform strategy, optimize content, and guide A/B testing.
Proficient in leveraging platforms for social content distribution and performance tracking.
WE VALUE:
Relevant coursework or training in content strategy, SEO, data analysis, and social media tools is highly desirable.
Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Proven success growing and engaging audiences in social platforms.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
