Job Description:

After orientation and training, new hires will perform entry-level engineering tasks on rocket propulsion projects. Interns will support senior engineering staff and gain experience and familiarization with company projects. Interns must be able to operate effectively in a team environment.

Projects may focus on areas of project or component engineering including assisting in the successful planning, design, development, production, or qualification of chemical propulsion or electric propulsion systems for spacecraft and launch vehicle applications.

Tasks will vary but may include data collection, entry-level performance analysis, software tool development, trade studies, fabrication support, test monitoring, hardware tracking, assistance with presentations and reports to both external customers and company staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering (or similar major)

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $79,000-$146,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule @type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
