Job Title: Tax Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Tax Accountant with 2 years of sales and use tax experience. A high level of proficiency in Excel is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will be involved in analyzing, filing, and preparing sales and use tax returns, including multi-state fleet truck sales analysis on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities

Analyze and file sales and use tax returns.

Prepare monthly reports on fleet truck sales, including resale and out-of-state transactions.

Work with the sales and use tax team to ensure compliance across multiple states.

Utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.

Handle forms such as 1120 (corporate tax return).

Collaborate with the direct tax team on income tax and accounting tasks.

Essential Skills

2 years of experience in sales and use tax.

High proficiency in Excel, particularly with pivot tables.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a strong plus.

Experience with Workday, AS400, Bloomberg Tax, and Onesource is beneficial.

New graduates or candidates with 1-3 years of experience are welcome.

Motivation and a strong work ethic are highly valued.

Work Environment

You will join a team of 7 professionals, offering a lot of flexibility for personal appointments and family commitments. The role allows for 2 days of remote work initially, potentially increasing to 3 days in the future. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The office provides an onsite cafeteria and gym, as well as opportunities for team outings such as picnics and baseball games. There are growth opportunities as well.

This is a Permanent position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
