CE Facility Support Engineer - Electrical 3

Our client, a leader in critical infrastructure solutions, is seeking a CE Facility Support Engineer - Electrical 3 to join their team. As a CE Facility Support Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting the electrical infrastructure across various datacenter campuses. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: CE Facility Support Engineer - Electrical 3

Location: Hoffman Estates, IL

Duration: 6 - 18 Months on W2

Pay Range: $44 - $49/hour + Benefits & PTO

Day Shift A: 12-hrs (Sun-Wed) & (Sun-Tue)

Experience with electrical systems in high-availability environments

(e.g., data centers, hospitals, manufacturing, oil & gas)

OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification 5+ years of hands-on technical experience

(e.g., electrical, controls, data center, automotive)

What's the Job?

Able to complete all tasks listed in the CE Tech Level 1 and Level 2 role description.

Support electrical infrastructures throughout datacenter campuses ranging from a single, large-capacity facility to several smaller ones.

Experience with building management systems (EPMS).

Perform Remote Power Panel (RPP) shutdown of 1 source while ensuring critical load is still supplied through one source (N).

Conduct Power Interruption Testing (PIT) and master controller shutdown or replacement.

What's Needed?

All candidates must hold an OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification.

Experience with electrical systems in high availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments such as data centers.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

5+ years of work/applied learning experience in technical fields (e.g., automotive, electrical, controls, data center).

Able to work a flexible work schedule which could include 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, or 3, 4, or 5-day work weeks.
