I. Job Summary
This critical role manages sales support for the benefit of the WM sales organization and WM customer base. They understand the waste industry, waste industry technologies, market, and sustainability trends in business.
This position is remote however the employee must reside in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah or Colorado based on business need.
II. Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other ancillary duties may be assigned.
This Leader will oversee the growth and development of the administrative professionals who support our 4C SMB & Construction Sales Team members who focus on B2B sales across Utah, Colorado, New Mexico & Arizona. This individual manages all functions and strategic initiatives associated to drive profitable growth including but not limited to:
Building efficiency with internal communication channels;
Customer service liaison support for our customers;
Validating contract data for billing accuracy;
Overseeing the National/Broker communication channels/bids
Facilitating sustainability reporting, developing marketing support materials, conducting market research & sourcing leads;
Serves as liaison and interfaces with sales teams in making recommendations for communications, needs and strategies including, but not limited to proposals, presentations, pricing, RFPs, letters, etc.
Creates and maintains market and competitive intelligence that delivers actionable information on customer and competitor initiatives as well as service capabilities to the sales team and assists in the development of competitive sales plans
Functions as a communications department/resource regarding internal and external communications
Sourcing and managing tools to assist the sales organization in targeting high potential accounts
Locates and manages research data sources and resources as needed for field (e.g. CoStar, Dodge, Lexis-Nexis, Hoover's, First Research, Environmental Business Journal Report, various payable portals, etc.); stays abreast of new sources and makes field aware of data and capabilities:
Performs market research to increase the number of quality prospects in the sales pipeline that will result in a shortened sales cycle and increased close rate\
Identifies market trends impacting customers' businesses and assists sales in formulating value propositions that deliver thought leadership to the market place
Translates opportunity/customer needs into new solutions with recommended sales approach
Collaborate with the sales team to identify external market dynamics that create emerging and accelerating trends within our customers' industries, and provides guidance to the sales team to leverage this research into meaningful account strategies; includes leading the sales team in workshops to develop such strategies and actions plans
Assists the sales organization in planning and equipping trade show events.

IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. Must live and work in US.
A. Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Sales, Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, Communications or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience.
Experience: Five (5) years related sales work & Leadership experience (in addition to education requirement).

Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Ability to work with financial metrics and models (understanding balance sheets, income statements, 10Ks and performing quantitative market research.)
Trained in the WM sales methodology

Able to assess and analyze financial conditions of clients and industry trends
Excellent oral communication skills
Excellent group presentation skills

The expected base pay range for this position across the US is $84,300 - $107,500. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay.
