What You Will Do:
Serve as a strategic and trusted advisor to leaders and employees by providing expert consultation on employee relations, including independently managing and resolving high-risk, complex, and routine issues through thorough investigations and documentation, and presenting defensible recommendations aligned with business and legal standards
Assist as needed in the full lifecycle of workers' compensation case management, including incident intake, return-to-work coordination, working with insurers and TPAs, and advising leaders on accommodations and modified duties to reduce risk and cost
Conduct proactive job architecture and compensation analysis, including job description creation and benchmarking, in collaboration with department leadership and compensation teams to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness
Guide and support the creation, implementation, and facilitation of learning and development programs that drive succession planning, develop key talent, and support leadership growth across the organization.
Advise managers and staff on HR best practices related to performance management, coaching, progressive discipline, career development, and workforce planning.
Navigate the complexities of a remote, multi-state workforce by ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws while preserving a cohesive, values-driven culture.
Partner with legal and compliance teams to mitigate organizational risk while driving timely and legally sound resolution to workplace concerns.
Champion organizational culture by aligning HR strategy and communication to company values, mission, and vision.

Deliver ongoing education and training to managers on employee relations, performance management, and leadership effectiveness.
Use metrics and analytics to assess trends, support recommendations, and inform leadership decision-making.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Payroll, Legal, and Safety teams to ensure integrated HR service delivery.
Contribute to enterprise-wide HR initiatives and continuous improvement of HR programs and processes.
What Does It Take:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) required; Master's degree preferred.
SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP strongly preferred.
10-12 years of progressive HR experience, including substantial experience in employee relations, workers' compensation, and compensation/job design.
Deep knowledge of multi-state employment law, workplace investigations, and compliance practices.
Demonstrated experience developing and delivering L&D programs that drive impact and talent growth.
Strong business acumen and experience influencing senior leaders.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of executive-level summaries and reports.
High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Previous experience with HR systems such as UKG (UltiPro) preferred

Education
Required
Bachelors or better in Business Administration
Experience
Preferred
SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHR_SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential is preferred.
Hospice, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, managed care or other pertinent health care services industry experience preferred
10-12 years: Progressively responsible experience in HR or HR related experience
