Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Golden Valley, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing and optimizing the accounts payable processes within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you excel in driving process improvements, maintaining compliance, and collaborating across teams, this position is an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise.

Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a high-performing accounts payable team by fostering growth, performance management, and clear communication. - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency within the department. - Implement process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline accounts payable operations. - Approve vendor payments, including handling positive pay actions and managing banking template setups and modifications. - Oversee the accuracy of accounts payable data for new vendor setups and payment processes. - Maintain and update documentation for standard work procedures related to invoice and payment processing. - Provide training and support to other departments on accounts payable procedures and systems. - Manage 1099 processing for U.S. entities to ensure compliance with reporting requirements. - Handle ad-hoc tasks and special requests as needed to support the accounts payable function. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role. - Proficiency with accounts payable workflow software such as Esker is a plus. - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Windows-based software such as PowerPoint and Word. - Experience working in a publicly traded company is highly desirable. - Strong understanding of electronic invoice interface processes and 1099 reporting requirements. - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functional teams. - Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing requests, and work independently with attention to detail.
