About the Work Unit:
The Office of Human Resources (OHR) delivers strategic, tactical, and operational support to manage a fully integrated departmental human resources (HR) program. Its mission is to enhance productivity, foster diversity and inclusion, and promote a positive workplace culture while reducing liability and risk.
Key services provided by OHR include:
RegulatoryCompliance:InterpretingandensuringadherencetoStatePersonnelSystemrules,policies,and applicable state and federal employment laws.
Talent Management: Designing and consulting on policies and processes for job evaluation, compensation, and employee selection.
Talent Acquisition: Managing recruitment marketing, sourcing, hiring, and creating a seamless onboarding experience for new employees.
Technical and Operational Support: Managing HR systems, onboarding/offboarding processes, and transaction processing.
Employee and Labor Relations: Addressing dispute resolution, performance management, discrimination complaints, and labor agreements
Professional and Organizational Development: Offering training, employee engagement initiatives, mentorship programs, career development opportunities, and succession planning.

What you Will be Doing:
Supports integration and coordination of Total Worker Health across CDPHE divisions, including protection of worker health, well-being, and safety. Provides primary support for initiatives to address employee mental health and well-being including development and maintenance of a peer responder network that provides peer support for CDPHE employees. Provides a supportive role in developing and implementing worksite wellness and safety policies through evidence-based interventions for worker safety, injury prevention, and health promotion. Provides support for the Office of Human Resources Employee Benefits Unit including Workers' Compensation, ADA, FMLA, FAMLI, Short Term Disability, and other employee benefits support.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Only:
Six (6) years of relevant experience in Human Resources including family medical leave management, ADA accommodation and benefits administration.
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education in Human Resources, communications, business administration, counseling, or health related fields and/or relevant experience in Human Resources including family medical leave management, ADA accommodation and benefits administration equal to six (6) years

Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the minimum requirements, the successful candidate in this position will have the following highly desirable experience and competencies:
ADA accommodation training
Adult peer support, coaching, or counseling experience
FMLA and FAMLI medical leave management
Experience with a Human Resources Information System, electronic time and leave tracking systems, and employee performance management systems
Experience examining and analyzing documents presented concerning procedures related to Family Medical Leave forms and HR records and explaining HR policies and requirements related to necessary HR practices and procedures.
Experience using, updating, and maintaining a variety of data tracking software, such as time and leave tracking or performance management
Experience interpreting federal and state law, regulations, rules, and policies
Demonstrated expertise administrating the State of Colorado Benefit and Leave Program(s)
Conditions of Employment:

This position has been designated as hybrid. The Hiring Manager will discuss the expectations and details of the schedule with you during the interview process.
