KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Leads the gathering, validation, and submission of data for both recurring and one-time reports
You will produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and prepare financial analysis to provide leadership with insights needed to make decisions and understand changes.
Owns the gathering, preparation, and distribution of reports to US Tech Leadership Team members
Partners with members of management and the Finance team to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and expense management activities
Manages the hiring approval process for US Technology, for employees and contractors, in collaboration with management, Human Resources, and Finance
Leads various strategic initiatives across the Business Management Office and in support of the US TI&I strategy; typically managing more than one project at a time
Provides expertise and content in creating strategies and new processes
Facilitates discussions and meetings at Leadership tables
Identifies, escalates, and implements opportunities to enhance processes and procedures to drive efficiencies
Develops and maintains procedures for all areas of responsibility
Create, update, and maintain Power BI dashboards as needed to assist US Technology leadership in making business decisions and maintaining compliance
Collaborates with numerous teams across the bank, as a liaison for US TI&I, to ensure various initiatives are completed in a timely manner
Strong background in financial analysis, with proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost management. Able to interpret financial data, identify trends and risks, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize financial performance.
Experience in preparing and presenting financial reports to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to design and manage complex spreadsheets, utilize advanced formulas, pivot tables, data visualization tools, and automation features such as macros. Capable of transforming large and complex data sets into clear, actionable insights and reports that support business decision-making.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
College or bachelor's in business or related area
Minimum 7-10 years of financial analysis, business management, or technology operations experience
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
Adapts well to fast-paced and changing environment
Ability to create budgets, and track forecasts and expenses against an agreed upon budget
Strong presentation skills and experience presenting to Senior Leadership
Able to operate at both strategic (establishing direction) and tactical (providing detailed guidance and troubleshooting) levels
Curious about banking, strategies, businesses, and people
Ability to build rapport with a variety of stakeholders and team members
Pro-actively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders
Strong analytical skills; ability to apply logical solutions to business problems

Analyze and improve upon current processes
Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex data analysis, formula creation, and automation using macros.

WORKING CONDITIONS
·This role operates within a normal office environment
·You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1 day per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $135,000.00 - $155,000.00 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component .
