Description:
You will be the Mechanical Design Engineering Lead for the SLCM-N development team. Our team is responsible for leading mechanical engineering efforts to support the development of a tube-launched missile, including trade studies, design development, and testing.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Design Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for guiding the mechanical engineering team through trade studies to down-select between two system architectures, and then leading the team through a PDR-scoped review of the selected design. You will also oversee the development and testing of a demo test asset, ensuring that the design meets system requirements.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, preferably in an Engineering related field
The preferred candidate shall have a sound Engineering / Technical foundation and be able to grasp complex issues quickly
Skilled at creating and releasing part and assembly models and detailed drawings using Creo (ProEngineer) and Windchill
Experience creating drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.100 standards
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5
Capable of performing in a fast paced, dynamic, inclusive, team environment
Limited Travel as necessary
Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain it
Proficiency of Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Detail and process oriented
A secret security clearance, or ability to obtain one, is required.
Desired Skills:
3-5 years Creo Experience.
Previous Lockheed Martin and/or Missile program experience is a plus
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
