NOW HIRING: We are hiring a 1st shift Kit/Pack Operator 1 to join our Packaging team within our Transportation and Infrastructure team. The Kit/Pack Operator 1 is responsible for the identification and location of specific component parts, preparation of products for shipment, and delivering the materials/products to their intended locations.

Location: Winsted, MN
Salary Range: $19.13 - 22.50 per hour (Non-Exempt)

Shift Schedule: 1st shift Monday - Thursday 5am - 3pm
Shift Differential: 1st shift - N/A
As a Kit/Pack Operator 1, you will:
Uses jib crane and related lifting devices, forklift, and/or other material handling equipment to transport materials and products into and out of the work area as required
Packages, bands, or shrink-wraps products or loads
Enter job data in the production tracking system
Inspects material handling equipment and lifting devices
Transacts material moves using barcode readers
Checks for inventory and data recording errors daily
Performs cycle counts
Verifies quantities listed on manufacturing documentation are met and items conform to prints
Properly organizes and stores material
Verifies/Counts parts moved to match paperwork for inventory accuracy
Maintains organization of products and raw materials
Reads drawings/prints to identify parts
Gathers/picks/assembles products on pick lists/load lists
Puts product away in designated areas
Maintains 5S guidelines
Executes the daily plan to keep material flowing to satisfy the schedule
Performs work at the appropriate pace to maintain quality and productivity requirements
Role qualifications as a Kit/Pack Operator 1:
Preferred candidates will have experience in a manufacturing environment
Skill of effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skills in English
Skill to accurately use tape measure and precision measuring devices
Proficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings
Computer literate; particularly in word processing, spreadsheet, email, shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications
Ability to perform basic shop math functions
Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork
Ability to electronically record production information
Ability to work with others as part of a high-performance team
Adapt to changing work priorities
Able to work under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or procedure
