Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Wilmington, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in general accounting and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive inventory analyses to determine appropriate reserves across all entities.

Collaborate with the accounts payable department to manage unvouchered receipts and vendor return authorizations awaiting credit.

Prepare payroll journal entries and calculate payroll accruals with precision.

Identify and record unrecorded liabilities for the month, ensuring accurate accruals.

Review shared departmental expenses and allocate costs across organizational units as needed.

Perform ad hoc analyses and accounting projects to address evolving business needs.

Complete various administrative tasks related to financial operations as required.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain accurate financial records.

Requirements - Proven experience in general accounting practices and principles.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct detailed financial analyses.

Proficiency in preparing journal entries and managing payroll accruals.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including accounts payable.

Solid organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with inventory analysis and reserve calculations.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
