Director, Marketing and Communications Direct Hire opportunity Hybrid-Minneapolis, MN Our B2B client specializes in developing and delivering large-scale assessment solutionsfor a variety of industries and government institutions. This client is seeking a Director, Marketing and Communications to drive the development and execution of strategic marketing communications. This includes responsibility for marketing communications activities that support business initiatives and drive revenue. The Director also directs internal and external communications for the organization. This role is extremely tactical, so this individual must be comfortable being hands on. Responsibilities: Manage and lead development of integrated marketing communications plans and activities that drive brand awareness, revenue growth and demand for our client's product offerings. Collaborate with product marketing, sales, and business development to identify industry and technology trends and the competitive landscape. Acquire extensive knowledge of all solutions to understand functionality, industry challenges that each solution addresses and their benefits to potential clients. Collaborate with product teams to better understand and articulate the needs of current and potential customers and determine effective strategies for increasing market penetration and revenue. Help successfully launch new products and product enhancements. Develop and execute targeted, in-depth marketing communication plans and lead the execution of all marcom tactics. Lead the development and production of all marketing communications materials and content, including key messaging, web design and content, digital marketing initiatives, conferences. Ensure consistent messaging and branding using a variety of collateral materials. Evaluate and recommend potential thought leadership/speaking platforms at relevant conferences and trade shows. Oversee development of tradeshow displays, collateral marketing materials, promotional campaigns and graphics. Leverage strong analytical capabilities to analyze research, develop sound marketing communication strategies and measure results. Demonstrate proven ability to work across a highly matrixed organization. Ability to set priorities and manage projects, completing them on time and on budget. Proactive, independent self-starter with the ability to multi-task and effectively manage competing priorities. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field required. MBA or other relevant Master's degree desired. Ten years' experience with at least five years' experience as a Manager or Director or equivalent level. Ability to effectively work within a matrixed organization and at multiple management/executive levels. B2B writing and editing experience required. Writing will include marketing collateral, presentations, success stories, thought leadership, product launch plans and more. Ability to travel (approximately 20%) to tradeshows and conferences Excellent project management and communication skills Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Office 365 and PowerPoint). Relate effectively and work respectfully with diverse work groups. Ability to consistently perform well during times of increased workload.
