RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Coordinate the organization, staffing, and operational activities for assigned programs, activities, and operations of the fire team including operations, emergency medical services, disaster preparedness, fire prevention, fire inspection, fire investigation, code enforcement, training, facility/equipment maintenance, and related programs, services, and operations.
· Serve as Officer-in-Charge for assigned fire station: respond to alarms as required by departmental policy; act as incident commander at emergency scenes and assume command of operations unless relieved of command by a superior officer and/or a designated client representative; prepare follow-up incident reports and investigations as required.
· Manage scheduling: Leverage AI-powered technology to effectively schedule security officers, meeting client contract hours while minimizing unbilled overtime
· Lead and Develop Fire/Security Teams: Hire, coach and manage fire and security officers and supervisors while overseeing payroll, performance, and employee relations
· Enhance Client Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high-quality service that protects people and property
· Handle Security Incidents and Emergencies: Respond to escalated issues professionally, coordinating with clients and internal teams
· Direct Compliance and Fire/Security Operational Excellence: Oversee training, safety, and site operational standards as well as managing inventory (uniforms, equipment, and other essential supplies)
· Identify opportunities: Improve service delivery methods and procedures; identify resource needs; review with appropriate client and management staff; implement improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
· Must possess one or more of the following: Be a fire academy graduate from a State certified or Department of Defense certified training facility meeting the NFPA 1001 Standard for Firefighter Professional Qualifications training guidelines. Possess a Firefighter III certificate from a State Fire Marshal's office or from the Department of Defense adopted by the state where fire services are performed.
· Must possess one or more of the following: Associate's degree in fire science, fire administration, public administration. Associate's degree in other related field if supplemented with specialized Fire Officer training.
· Must possess a valid driver's license appropriate for the fire apparatus to be driven for the state of employment.
· Must possess each of the following: Fire Instructor II certification, HAZMAT technician certification, Rescue Specialist Confined Space certification, Certification as a Fire Officer from a State approved or Department of Defense training facility meeting the NFPA 1021 Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualification guidelines, Valid Basic Life Support CPR/AED card from American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, Current Hazardous Materials First Responder at the Technician Level certificate in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120(q), and NIMS 400 certification.
· Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
· Valid driver's license if driving a company vehicle, or personal vehicle while conducting business
· Minimum of two (2) years of experience in business operations, security management, or supervising teams in a fast-paced environment
· Experience in leading, developing, and retaining a dynamic team while building positive client relationships
· Knowledge of emergency preparedness, physical security protocols, risk assessments, and law enforcement coordination
· Proven ability to evaluate situations, make sound independent decisions, and resolve conflicts in an efficient manner
· Proficiency in web-based applications and computer systems, including Microsoft Office
· Ability to communicate effectively with clients and employees while managing multiple projects and driving operational excellence
· Financial acumen; able to manage staffing levels while minimizing non-billed overtime and managing turnover costs; planning and organizing skills to control costs related to inventory (uniforms, equipment, etc.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
· College degree in Business Administration or a law enforcement-related field
· Law enforcement, military, and/or contract or proprietary security services, or facility management experience
· American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), International Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification
· Previous payroll, billing, or scheduling experience
· Aptitude with security systems: CCTV, access control, and badge administration
· Graduate of certified public safety academy (e.g., Law Enforcement, Firefighter/Paramedic, Corrections Officer)
