This position will be part of the Enterprise Services team, which delivers a full suite of services to state agencies, boards, councils, and commissions, and many central services to local government partners.

As an Information Security Supervisor, you will the analysis, development, and implementation of administrative and technical security strategies to meet the Department of Public Safety's (DPS) requirements. This role leads agency-wide information security initiatives, including planning and deploying security products and services, directing staff and clients, managing projects, and developing policies, standards, and guidelines in alignment with enterprise frameworks. The position is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating modernization efforts for DPS systems. Serving as the agency's focal point for security strategy, the supervisor collaborates with internal teams, enterprise resources, state agencies, and third parties to safeguard information assets against evolving threats while also managing contracts, purchasing, and assigned independent projects.

This position requires an employee to be onsite at 445 N Minnesota St, St Paul, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location. Minimum Qualifications

Position requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in an information security role.

Experience must include:

Information Systems industry standards and best practices in network, hardware platform and application security.

Experience with risk and vulnerability analysis and resolution.

Experience with incident and change management.

Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.

Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

Lead work or supervisory experience.

Current Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP), Certified Information Security Manager, or equivalent.

Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Information Assurance, or a closely related technology field.
