Embark on this journey as a Leadership Development Program Associate and lay the foundation for your future. Over 24 months, you'll dive into three dynamic 8-month rotations that will give you real-world experience in key areas like: Accounting/tax/audit - learn the steps to reach the bottom line Finance - create decision support-based analytics for business partners * Utility - blend both your finance and accounting skills on business projects that involve our internal service providers and business processes (ex: procurement, risk, treasury, real estate, business planning and analysis) After exploring the breadth of the business unit(s) through each rotation, LDPs have the opportunity to post to a permanent position within Ameriprise Financial. 2025 Ameriprise Financial and Columbia Threadneedle Investments interns will be given preferred consideration during the application window closing August 25. Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities vary depending on current rotation and assigned projects(s) and may include: Prepare a cost benefit analysis to determine expected benefits of a new product or program Analyze profit and loss statements and recommend solutions to grow revenues and manage expenses Balance sheet management, due diligence, and process re-engineering Prepare expense and revenue forecasts and analyze trends and variances from plan and prior forecasts Work with a team conducting an audit and testing controls of a business process Evaluate business risks and opportunities to mitigate risk Assist with the creation of a cash flow spreadsheet for purposes of dividend planning Perform analysis of taxable income from investments, variance analysis and year over year trends Examples of past LDP projects include: Build and maintain financial models to drive critical initiatives. Worked with key partners from finance and the business to build documentation and present to leaders. Worked with teams across the Finance Business Unit to assist with implementing new software for the organization. Required Qualifications: Current Senior at a 4-year university pursing a bachelor's degree Finance, Accounting, Economics or Mathematics, or related field Graduation date of December 2025 or May/June 2026 Commitment to complete the full 24-month Leadership Development Program Preferred Qualifications: High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics Proven organization skills and ability to manage time effectively Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Ability to work and communicate collaboratively with all levels of the organization including team members, managers, and senior leaders Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite If job requires knowledge of specific software, hiring leaders can add that here The company does not offer sponsorship for this opportunity. Base Pay Salary The estimated base salary for this role is $68,000.00. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
